Madison ASU Class of 2022 | Phoenix Senior Photographer Anjeanette Photography
Madison, a proud graduate of ASU's School of Business, wanted her senior portraits to capture the essence of her journey. We chose to take her photos at Old Main and around the Tempe Campus, and let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision! Madison showed up in a stylish white dress for her graduation shots, paired perfectly with her Arizona State gown. Later, she switched it up with two more outfits—a floral dress and a tennis skirt with a cute pink top. Each look was spot-on and showcased her trendy, yet simple style.
ASU's Tempe Campus offers so many amazing spots for photos. We started at Palm Walk, a favorite for its iconic line of palm trees. The tall, slender palms created a picturesque background that made Madison's white dress pop. She looked incredible walking down the pathway, her smile as bright as the Arizona sun. Next, we headed to the historic Old Main building, also known as the “Normal School” building. The architecture there is simply stunning, with its beautiful brickwork and classic design. Madison fit right in, striking pose after pose and looking absolutely radiant.
Old Main and the iconic Normal School steps have an incredible mix of history and charm that makes it one of the best places to take senior photos on campus. It’s especially stunning in the fall when the light catches the brick and makes the whole area feel warm and inviting. These steps are a hot spot for ASU grads, especially in spring. By April or May, it’s packed with seniors waiting their turn for photos, so planning a fall OR end of February, March, or spring break session means avoiding those long waits. Trust me, it’s worth it.
For those of you planning your own ASU senior pictures, here are a couple of tips based on Baylee’s session. If you’re thinking of ASU’s Tempe campus, plan ahead! Fall is a great time because the crowds are smaller and the weather is much more forgiving. By the time spring rolls around, Old Main and Palm Walk get pretty packed with grads waiting for their turn at these iconic spots. If you want those classic shots without the stress, fall is the way to go.
The Carey Business School was another fantastic spot. Its modern design and sleek lines provided a great contrast to the historic feel of Old Main. Madison’s confidence shone through in every shot. Her floral dress added a touch of elegance against the contemporary backdrop. We also found some charming spots around the school with beautiful landscaping and fountains. These locations added a fresh, vibrant feel to the photos, making each one unique.
Madison really rocked every single spot on campus. Whether it was the classic beauty of Old Main, the modern vibe of Carey Business School, or the lush greenery and fountains, she made each location her own. Her tennis skirt and pink top combo was especially fun and playful, showing off a different side of her personality. The photos captured her joy and excitement perfectly, making them a true reflection of her time at ASU.
The weather was on our side, too. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, and the light was just right. We had a few funny moments, like when a gust of wind decided to play with Madison's dress, but she handled it like a pro. Her positive attitude and easygoing nature made the whole session a breeze.
Taking photos at ASU's Tempe Campus was a blast. There are so many great spots, and Madison made each one look amazing. From the iconic Palm Walk to the historic charm of Old Main and the sleek Carey Business School, each location offered something special. Madison’s outfits were perfect for the settings, and her natural confidence and style made the photos truly shine.
For high school seniors and their parents, senior photos are more than just a milestone. They’re a way to capture this special time in your life and show who you are. Madison’s photos are a perfect example of that. They’re not just about her graduation from the School of Business; they’re a celebration of her journey, her achievements, and her bright future.
Looking back at Madison’s photos, I can’t help but smile. Each image tells a part of her story—from her time at ASU to her love for fashion and her incredible journey through the School of Business. Madison, you were amazing, and it was such a joy to capture these moments for you.
To all the seniors out there, pick places and outfits that show who you are. Whether it’s a spot with great memories or one that reflects your dreams, let your senior photos be a true reflection of you. And most importantly, have fun with it! Your senior year is a time to celebrate, and your photos should capture that joy and excitement.
And that’s a wrap! 📸✨ What an unforgettable session with Madison. From the iconic spots on ASU’s Tempe Campus to her stunning outfits, it was a day filled with fun and unforgettable moments. Here’s to celebrating the end of college and the amazing adventures that lie ahead! Cheers to making memories that last a lifetime.

Hannah Arizona State University Class of 2023 | Phoenix Senior Photographer Anjeanette Photography
You guys! I had the most amazing time capturing Hannah's senior portraits at ASU's Tempe campus! The vibe was just perfect, and we kicked things off at the Old Main fountain, which is like THE spot for senior pics. The iconic champagne spray and hoping in the water is a Sun Devil rite of passage. Hannah looked incredible in a chic black dress, and her energy was totally contagious.
Hannah's graduating from Arizona State's College of Art and Design with a degree in graphic design. Can we talk about how impressive that is? She tackled college during the whole COVID craziness and came out shining. Seeing her now, so ready to take on the world, is beyond inspiring. It's wild to think back to when I first moved to Arizona and did her high school senior photos. Watching her grow and achieve so much has been a total privilege.
I first met Hannah through the Sandra Day O’Connor band and color guard, where she's still rocking it as an instructor. I was lucky enough to be her high school senior photographer as well! She had this spark, this energy that was so infectious. Now, fast forward a few years, and here we are again, capturing her college senior photos. It’s incredible to see how far she’s come and how much she’s grown.Plus, she's part of the Fenix ASU World Class winter guard team which I absolutely love capturing at events like WGAZ competitions. The dedication and passion she has for these activities are evident. It’s not just a hobby for her; it’s a huge part of her life. Watching her perform, you can see the love she has for it, and it’s clear she puts her heart and soul into every routine. Getting to know Hannah and her mom, Kristi, and seeing her and her sister grow up has been one of the best parts of my job.
The Tempe campus was such a beautiful backdrop for our session. The architecture, the greenery, and all the students hustling NOT around in the photos was the best. Hannah choose the absolute BEST time to have her photos- right at the begining of spring break! It left her with plenty of time to go play the next day and weeks- but it also gave us an empty canvas (punny arn’t I) and cool sweet weather without waiting in line at popular spots like Palm Walk and The Normal School steps. The light was just right too, making Hannah glow even more. 📸✨
Kristi joined us for the shoot, and it was so heartwarming to see their bond. She’s been there every step of the way, cheering her on and helping her navigate through the challenges. We laughed about how fast time flies since the high school shoot. Kristi's support has been huge for Hannah, and it was great to capture that connection in the photos. During our shoot, we talked about her college experience. COVID-19 definitely threw a wrench in things, but Hannah didn’t let it stop her. She adapted, found new ways to stay creative, and kept pushing forward. It wasn’t easy, but she made it work. She shared some stories about virtual classes, group projects done over Zoom, and the challenges of staying motivated when everything went online. It was a tough time for everyone, but hearing how she handled it with grace and determination. Kristi’s pride in Hannah was clear,i t’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do.
One of my favorite moments from our shoot was when we used smoke grenades for some of the photos outside of the Graduate Hotel on campus. Back when Hannah was in high school our session together had one bummer- the two smoke grenades I brought were duds :( I wanted to be sure to bring some for the session! As I set off the grenades, the colors swirled around Hannah created this magical, almost surreal atmosphere. Even though they kinda have a mild sulfur smell, it was like we were in a dream ha. The photos turned out absolutely stunning, and I think they perfectly capture Hannah’s vibrant personality and artistic spirit.
Hannah's story is all about determination and talent. Balancing school, teaching, and competing in winter guard is no joke, but she nailed it. As we wrapped up the shoot, I felt so proud of all she's achieved. 🎓👏 This session wasn’t just about photos; it was about celebrating Hannah's journey and the bright future ahead. The joy, laughter, and memories made it unforgettable.
Hannah’s faced so many obstacles, but she’s come out stronger on the other side. Her determination, creativity, and positive attitude are truly admirable. She’s not just a talented graphic designer and performer; she’s an incredible person with a bright future ahead.
I'm so grateful to have been a part of it and to capture these moments for her and her family.
Hannah, if you’re reading this, know that you are a rockstar! Keep shining, keep pushing forward, and never stop chasing your dreams. The world is lucky to have someone as talented and driven as you. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things you’ll do next. Here’s to new adventures and endless possibilities! 🌟📸✨
