Baylee Arizona State University Class of 2024 | Anjeanette Photography Phoenix Senior Photographer

ASU AZ Senior university Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

Baylee’s senior portrait session was golden magic! We spent the cool afternoon exploring the best spots on ASU’s Tempe campus and wrapped up with some golden-hour magic above Haden Library. Baylee is one of those people who lights up a room—and a camera frame—with her sweet, confident energy. She brought three outfits to show off all the different sides of her personality, and each one was a total Sun Devil vibe! Plus, we lucked out with the timing: If you’re planning a session at ASU, let me tell you—late fall is the best time. Crowds are low, the weather is perfect, and the whole campus just glows.

We kicked things off at Old Main and the iconic giant grad numbers. The building has this incredible mix of history and charm that makes it one of the best places to take senior photos in Arizona. It’s especially stunning in the fall when the light catches the brick and makes the whole area feel warm and inviting. Baylee chose a classic black dress and her cap and gown for her first outfit—simple and elegant. She stood on the iconic Normal School steps, looking like a queen ready to take on the world! Fun fact: these steps are a hot spot for ASU grads, especially in spring. By April or May, it’s packed with seniors waiting their turn for photos, so planning a fall session means avoiding those long waits. Trust me, it’s worth it.

From there, we headed to the fountain near Old Main. The breezy fall weather gave us the perfect conditions- but dang that water was still super cold! It’s an ASU tradition to get in the fountain, sometimes with a bottle of champagne :) Baylee is a brave young woman hoping in and making the freezing water seem fun and easy!!

Baylee twirled, laughed, and completely owned the moment. Her dress flowed just right in the breeze, and her smile was radiant. Senior sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. Capturing someone’s joy and excitement as they celebrate such a big milestone is just the best.

Next up, we made our way to Palm Walk. If you’ve ever been on ASU’s campus, you know how iconic this spot is. The towering palms create the most amazing natural frame, making it one of the top spots for Arizona senior pictures. Baylee’s second outfit—a trendy black and white dress- was perfect for this part of the session. The way she walked confidently down Palm Walk was a whole mood. It was like she owned the place (which, honestly, she totally did during our session!).

The great thing about Palm Walk is how versatile it is. Whether you’re going for something casual or formal, the endless line of palms adds a touch of elegance to every photo. Plus, the fall light hitting the trees creates a beautiful play of shadows and sunlight. It’s one of those spots that never fails to deliver the best senior pictures.

As the sun dipped low, Baylee had switched into her third outfit: a classic ASU sweatshirt. The wind picked up just enough to give her dress movement, and the setting sun turned everything to gold. She looked incredible! We found a spot near one of the water features, and the reflection in the water added this dreamy quality to the shots. Moments like this are why I say Arizona has some of the best places for senior photos. The combination of natural beauty and great light is unbeatable.

Throughout the session, Baylee’s personality shone. She’s sweet, fun, and so full of life. Whether she was striking a pose or laughing between shots, she made every moment memorable. Senior portraits aren’t just about pretty backdrops and great outfits (though those are important!). They’re about capturing who you are at this milestone moment. Her confidence and excitement for graduation were so clear in every shot. You could see how much she’s ready for this next chapter. Baylee’s session was such a great reminder of that. Each photo tells a piece of her story—her hard work, her excitement for what’s next, and the joy she carries with her every day.

For those of you planning your own ASU senior pictures, here are a couple of tips based on Baylee’s session. If you’re thinking of ASU’s Tempe campus, plan ahead! Fall is a great time because the crowds are smaller and the weather is much more forgiving. By the time spring rolls around, Old Main and Palm Walk get pretty packed with grads waiting for their turn at these iconic spots. If you want those classic shots without the stress, fall is the way to go. Another tip? Bring multiple outfits! Baylee’s three looks added so much variety to her photos, and each outfit fit perfectly with its location. It’s a great way to show off different sides of your personality and keep things fun and fresh.

Emerson Class of 2025 | Phoenix & Peoria Graduation Pictures & High School Photographer  ANJEANETTE PHOTOGRAPHY

Emerson, from the class of 2025 at Rancho Salano High School, recently made the big move from Atlanta to Arizona. And let me tell you, she has embraced it all—both the soccer field and the wide-open beauty of the desert. When she showed up for her senior session, she was ready to shine, bringing along five different outfits that each told a little part of her story. It was like seeing a snapshot of her personality in every look.

We kicked off the session with her in this super sweet, casual combo: a simple white top and jeans. It was the perfect start—timeless, relaxed, and totally Emerson. She was so natural in front of the camera, laughing and having a great time. The jeans paired with the Arizona desert made for a perfect backdrop. She fit right in, like the desert was her second home now. Emerson had a plan to have some barefoot portraits to express carefree spirit.

Then came her blue jumper—such a cute look! The jumper had this cool, casual vibe that Emerson carried off effortlessly. She looked like she belonged in one of those dreamy fashion campaigns where everything seems fun and carefree. We found a spot with some desert greenery to bring out the contrast between her outfit and the landscape. It was picture-perfect. Emerson was full of smiles, and I think this was when she really hit her stride in front of the camera.

One of the coolest moments? That denim tank dress paired with her brand-new red boots. These boots were special—they were a gift from her parents when she got accepted to the University of Arizona. She was clearly proud, and they just popped against the desert sand. This outfit had that perfect mix of laid-back and bold. The boots, with their bright red, were a statement all on their own. Emerson just strutted through the desert like it was her personal runway. The look was all her—a mix of her past, her present, and the exciting future waiting for her at U of A.

Next up, Emerson stepped out in the cutest pink mini shift skirt with a hundred tiny hot pink bows. It was so fun and girly! You could tell this outfit was all about showing off her playful side. We found a spot under one of the Westwing Mountains where the light just streamed in perfectly, adding this golden glow that made her look even more radiant. She twirled, she posed, and she absolutely rocked it.

But the real magic came at sunset. Emerson slipped into a stunning red satin dress, and oh my goodness—what a stunner!! That dress against the Arizona sunset was a total vibe. The way the light hit the fabric, turning it almost into a glowing ember, was just breathtaking. Emerson looked incredible, standing there with the desert stretching out behind her, the mountains silhouetted against that blazing sky. It was a moment where everything just clicked—the dress, the colors, the setting, her confidence. You could see her future as bright as that sky.

Throughout the entire session, Emerson was nothing short of amazing- and in 110 degrees! She embraced the desert, the heat, and the little quirks that come with shooting outdoors. At one point, we were gently reminded that Arizona likes to throw in a surprise or two—she giggled her way through a breeze that tried to play with her hair, and when we weren’t dodging a few curious insects, we were chasing that perfect light. No matter what, she kept her spirits high and her smile even brighter.

Senior photos are all about capturing a moment in time, but for Emerson, they were more than that. These photos weren’t just about marking her senior year; they were about celebrating her transition—from life in Atlanta to finding her footing here in Arizona. She’s stepping into new opportunities, from her love of soccer to her new adventure at the University of Arizona, and each outfit reflected a piece of her journey. Whether she was in jeans, red boots, or that stunning satin dress, Emerson was capturing more than just a look—she was telling her story.

For anyone reading, senior photos are such an important way to celebrate who you are right now. They’re a reflection of all the hard work, dreams, and fun moments that have led to this point. Emerson’s session was a great reminder of that. She showed up with style, confidence, and a genuine excitement for the future, and that’s what these photos are all about.

I always say it’s about more than just taking pictures—it’s about capturing who you are in this moment. Emerson, with her love of soccer, her style, and her new desert home, showed exactly that. She’s got big things ahead, and her senior photos were just the start.

To all the seniors out there—let your photos reflect the person you are, the journey you’re on, and where you’re headed next. Emerson’s session at the Sonoran Preserve was the perfect blend of old and new, fun and fierce, casual and bold. Whether you’re a soccer player, a fashionista, or a little bit of both, make your senior photos your own.

And with that, Emerson’s session came to a close just as the sun dipped below the horizon. 📸✨ We had such a blast capturing all her different looks and vibes, from the casual cool of her jeans to the elegant drama of that red satin dress. Here’s to Emerson and all the incredible adventures coming her way! Cheers to a future as bright as that Arizona sunset. 🌅👗🎓

But Mooooom... When Senior Guys don't *think* they want a Senior Portrait Session - Phoenix Senior Photographer Anjeanette Photography

best senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Peoria Scottsdale

Senior year is a time of celebration, reflection, and capturing memories that will last a lifetime. For many moms, senior portraits are a cherished tradition, a way to freeze this fleeting moment in time. But what happens when your senior guy just isn’t into it? Many senior boys don’t care about photos, feel awkward in front of the camera, or think it’s not cool to care about senior portraits. This can create tension and frustration, especially for moms who value these keepsakes deeply.

I can honestly can tell you, Senior Guys sessions are my favorites- I love senior ladies but …some of my absolute best sessions have been for guys who didn’t think they wanted them, then turned into James Bond when they put on the suit mom “made” them wear. Most guys actually look forward to and enjoy their senior portraits, but they may not feel chatty about it. They have a lot of fun with them even if they feel uncertain at the beginning. theres this misconception that photo sessions are not hip with dudes- its not true even if they may tell each other that. Guys have just as many outfits, poses, and charm as the girls. I love it when guys bring a car, theirs or a friends. Or a jersey, or sword- seriously those sword session kick butt and are cool as heck. And if it is HIS idea…he will get into it mama!

I have seen this scenario at least a hundred times (no I am not exaggerating): You’ve booked a senior portrait session, chosen the perfect location, and even coordinated outfits. But your son, who could care less about photos, is dragging his feet. He feels awkward, self-conscious, and would rather be anywhere else than posing in front of a camera. He thinks showing enthusiasm for photos is like flexing, and he doesn’t want to come across as trying too hard. Meanwhile, you’re trying to make the best of it, but the session feels strained and uncomfortable.

best senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Peoria Scottsdale

Now, picture this frustration bubbling over. Your son’s reluctance turns into sullen behavior during the session. He’s uncooperative, his smile is forced, and the whole experience feels more like a chore than a celebration. As a mom, you’re heartbroken because you want these photos to reflect the joy and pride you feel for your son’s accomplishments. The tension between wanting perfect photos and respecting your son’s feelings can be overwhelming.

So, how do we bridge this gap? How do we turn a potentially stressful situation into a positive experience for senior guys and their parents? Here are some solutions that can make senior portrait sessions enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved.

First and foremost, communication is key. Yeah I know I know, he def does NOT want to talk about it. so take a car ride and talk about it TO him, I promise he really is listening :)

Before the session, have an open conversation with your son about why these photos are important to you. Explain that senior portraits aren’t just about looking good; they’re about celebrating his journey and milestones. Share your feelings and listen to his concerns. Understanding each other’s perspectives can help ease some of the tension.

Next, consider a more relaxed approach to the session. Traditional portrait sessions can feel stiff and formal, which can be uncomfortable for someone who doesn’t like being in front of the camera. Keep the session short and sweet. My mini sessions are perfect for this, offering just enough time to capture a variety of shots without overwhelming your son. These shorter sessions are less intimidating and can be a great way to capture some fantastic shots without the pressure of a full-length session. They are designed to be quick and fun, ensuring that we get great photos without making it feel like a chore.

So, how can I help make this process smoother and more enjoyable for both you and your son? As an experienced photographer, I’ve worked with many seniors who were initially reluctant to have their photos taken. My goal is to make each session comfortable, fun, and tailored to the individual.

I understand that many senior guys feel uncomfortable or awkward in front of the camera. That’s why I take the time to get to know each client, ensuring that they feel relaxed and at ease during the session. We can start with simple poses and gradually move to more dynamic shots as your son becomes more comfortable. My experience has taught me how to bring out genuine smiles and capture the true essence of each senior.

One of the ways I make sessions enjoyable is by allowing your son to take the lead. Let him choose his outfits, even if they’re not what you would have picked. This gives him a sense of control and comfort, making the experience more enjoyable. Provide him with three location options unless he has his own ideas. This way, he feels involved in the planning process and more invested in the outcome. Now he may not have one clue or interest and you will need to pack his outfits, if he doesn’t care go for it! The point is to offer him the opportunity to make them what he wants.

best senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Peoria

If your son is into art, music, video games, sports or other activities, consider adding action as in my 2 hour Action Session. These sessions focus on capturing him doing what he loves, whether it’s playing basketball, D&D, skateboarding, or even playing an instrument. We go a place he feels good about: arcade, skate park, ball court. It’s a more dynamic and engaging way to showcase his personality and interests. Plus, he’ll feel more at ease in a familiar setting, doing something he enjoys.

During the session, I keep the atmosphere light and fun. Cracking jokes (even if they are super lame mom jokes like mine), playing his favorite music, or even bringing along a friend can help him relax. It’s all about creating a positive environment where he feels comfortable and can be himself. And remember, the goal isn’t to get the perfect posed shot but to capture his true spirit. Sometimes the best photos are the candid ones where he’s genuinely laughing or lost in thought.

Encourage your son to bring items that are meaningful to him. Whether it’s a sports jersey, a musical instrument, or a skateboard, incorporating personal elements can make the session more enjoyable and the photos more authentic. It’s a great way to showcase his unique personality and interests.

Finally, remind your son that these photos aren’t just for him—they’re for you too. Explain that having these memories captured is a gift that will mean the world to you. Sometimes, framing it as a way to make mom happy can be the extra motivation he needs to put in a bit of effort. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about making memories together.

Additionally, consider letting your son bring along someone who makes him feel at ease. Whether it’s dad, an older sibling, or a significant other, having a familiar face nearby can help him feel more relaxed and natural during the session. I have seen dudes light up for a significant other, especially if that person is into photos!! If he feels more comfortable without you being there, it’s okay to wait in the car or at home. This isn’t personally directed at you- often the guys who care about their moms the MOST are the ones most self-concious in front of them! They want to feel cool, and thats hard to do if a mom is there sometimes. Once i had a mom standing over my shoulder asking for his “real smile, like when you were in the 3rd grade and dumped ice cream on your lap!” eek! I know YOU wouldn’t do that mom. We can try starting it with you there, bring a friend of his, and if its not feeling good or getting the results you want, pop out for a water run or something! The goal is to create an environment where he can be himself, and he is growing up and wants portraits that reflect the man he is becoming.

best boy guy senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

Here’s a step-by-step guide to make the most of your senior portrait session:

  1. Start with a Conversation: Discuss the importance of senior portraits and listen to your son’s concerns. Understanding each other’s perspectives can help ease tension.

  1. Plan Together: Let your son choose his outfits and provide him with a few location options. This gives him a sense of control and makes him feel more comfortable.

  1. Choose the Right Session: Consider a mini session or an action session tailored to his interests. These shorter, more dynamic sessions can make the experience more enjoyable.

  1. Keep It Light: Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere during the session. Play his favorite music, crack jokes, and keep things light-hearted.

  1. DO NOT MAKE HIM SMILE. I will ask, I run through a few poses and I direct prompts like “look at me, no smile, look to the left, chin down- look up at me” and then when the awkward warm up phase is over I do ask seniors to laugh at me- its weird, its dumb, they tell me so- and I encourage them to try it or give me a sift smile. I dont push it or force it. A forced smile is exactly that. Eventually by the end of the session he usually feel comfortable sharing a few smiles, even as a way to get it over with!

  1. Incorporate Personal Elements: Encourage your son to bring items that reflect his personality and interests. This makes the photos more authentic and meaningful.

  1. Bring a Friend or Family Member: Having someone he’s comfortable with can help him relax and enjoy the session. If he prefers, you can wait nearby or at home.

  1. Focus on Candid Shots: Sometimes the best photos are the unplanned, candid moments. Encourage your son to be himself, and capture those genuine smiles and expressions. Cinematic photos where he is not looking into the camera, like in a movie poster.

  1. Consider offering a faster ending IF he can cooperate until we get the needed shots! This wont effect the price, but if its a real dread offer to him that if the photographer gets the shots she needs for your photos we can end the session faster. This makes a mini session even mini-ier for him. and while this still has the same session fee, if he knows he can get ‘out of it’ faster we may get everything we need really fasy and in a happier fashion!

  1. Do It for Mom: Remind your son that these photos are a gift to you as well. Framing it as a way to make mom happy can be a great motivator. He really does love you, even if he def doesn’t love photos.

best boy guy senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

I often have guys tell me “thats wasn’t as bad as I thought” or “that didn’t suck too bad” and even “that was a little fun actually”. High praise from a guy that was not looking forward to his session. A lot of guys secretly love it and I can tell!

By following these steps, you can turn a potentially stressful experience into a positive and enjoyable one. Senior portraits are about celebrating this important milestone and capturing your son’s true spirit.

Curious about how a senior portrait session can be a fun or at least stress-free experience? Take a look at my portfolio and see examples of sessions that showcase the true personality of each senior. My sessions are all about celebrating you and capturing your unique journey with joy and creativity.

Thank you for letting me be part of your senior year journey. Here’s to celebrating your achievements and capturing the magic of this exciting time in your life. Until next time, let’s keep creating memories that last a lifetime! 📸✨

Tyler & Cam's Senior Prom mini sesh! | Phoenix Prom Photographer Anjeanette Photography

senior pictures near me Peoria AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Glendale

I can't wait to share this sweet mini senior prom portrait sesh of Tyler and Kam at Rio Salado Park. These Cactus High School seniors were on their way to the "Time of the Century" prom at the Martin Car Museum, and their excitement was contagious!

Tyler, a football and lacrosse player, and Kam, his talented girlfriend, have been together for quite a while. Their chemistry is undeniable. They’ve even shared the stage at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts in productions like The Lion King and Fiddler on the Roof. Talk about a power couple!

Rio Salado Park provided the perfect backdrop for their portraits. The greenery always desired in AZ, the serene water, and the soft evening light made every shot magical. Kam looked stunning in her elegant lavender dress, and Tyler was dapper in his purple suit. They even had matching painted nails like the rockstars they are! Both were beaming, and you could tell they were ready to make some unforgettable memories.

One of my favorite moments was capturing the candid shots. Tyler and Kam were laughing, holding hands, maybe a butt was grabbed I won’t tell, and just enjoying each other’s company. Those genuine smiles and the way they looked at each other were priceless. It's these moments that truly capture the essence of their relationship.

As the session progressed, we moved to the trestle bridge where the sunset was just starting to cast a golden glow over the park. This light was a whole vibe! Kam’s dress shimmered, and Tyler’s suit took on a warm hue. They looked like they had stepped out of a fairy tale. We played with some fun poses, and they were totally game for everything. Love it!

One particularly memorable shot was by the water’s edge. Tyler picked up Kam, and they both laughed as I captured the moment. The reflection of the sunset in the water added a magical touch of glitter to the photo. These spontaneous, joyful moments are what make portrait sessions so special.

As the sun dipped lower, we wrapped up the session with a few more poses, capturing the last bits of daylight. Tyler had some pose ideas, specifically he wanted some with Kam wearing his suit jacket and after I asked him to softly kiss the top of her head I knew I had THE shot of the night!

Tyler and Kam, your prom portrait session was an absolute joy! Your connection and the fun we had made it a memorable experience. Keep shining and making memories together. You both have such bright futures ahead, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll achieve. 🌟

Faith Sandra Day O'Connor Class of 2024 | Anjeanette Photography Phoenix Senior Photographer

Glendale Peoria AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

Faith’s senior portrait session at Thunderbird Park in Glendale, AZ, was truly an unforgettable experience! Faith, an amazing young woman with a passion for childhood education, is already making waves by working in a daycare. You can see how much she loves it in her eyes!

She chose two outfits that were just perfect for the setting. First, she rocked a boho red shirt with jeans. The vibrant red contrasted beautifully with the natural surroundings of Thunderbird Park. Then, she slipped into a flowy black dress with cowboy boots that is so on trend with the Class of 2024. Both looks were spot-on, highlighting her unique style.

Thunderbird Park is a treasure trove of natural beauty, making it the ideal location for senior photos. The scenery is simply stunning, and we were blessed with perfect weather. We started shooting in the late afternoon, capturing the soft, flattering light. Faith was a total natural in front of the camera, exuding confidence and joy in every frame. Her blonde hair gleaming in the sunlight was simply gorgeous.

We explored the park, discovering fantastic spots along the way. One area, bursting with wildflowers, perfectly matched her boho outfit. Faith twirled and laughed, creating candid shots that truly captured her free spirit. The whole vibe was relaxed and fun, and she was absolutely glowing with happiness.

Golden hour was the pinnacle of the session. The sun’s warm, golden light bathed everything in a magical glow. Faith looked breathtaking in her black dress, her hair illuminated by the setting sun. The combination of the soft dress and the rugged park scenery was stunning. That glow? Pure magic!

Faith’s dedication to childhood education is truly inspiring. She shared stories about her daycare experiences and her future aspirations. Her nurturing spirit shines through, and it’s clear she’s on the right path. Capturing this milestone for her was a true privilege, and the photos reflect her beauty, kindness, and commitment to making a difference.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we wrapped up the session with a few last shots. The sky was a canvas of oranges and pinks, creating a dreamy backdrop. Faith’s silhouette against this vibrant sky was mesmerizing and the perfect close to a fantastic session.

Faith, your senior portrait session was such a joy! Your warmth and enthusiasm made it truly special. Keep shining and following your dreams. You have an incredible future ahead, and I can’t wait to see what you achieve. You’re a star! 🌟 Remember, the key to fantastic photos is to have fun and be yourself. That’s when the magic happens!

Thank you, Faith, for an unforgettable session. Here’s to celebrating your achievements and capturing the magic of this exciting time in your life. Until next time, keep shining and making memories! 📸✨

Maxie Perry High class of 2024 | Anjeanette Photography Phoenix Senior Photographer

senior pictures near me Peoria AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Glendale

Maxie's senior portrait session on Roosevelt Row was absolutely incredible! Maxie isn't just any senior; he's also a photographer. He knows how to work the camera, both in front of and behind it.

We started the sesh with Maxie showing up in the first of two fantastic outfits. Each one was on point. First, he had this casual, red polo and relaxed denims look that was effortlessly stylish. Then he switched it up with a crisp brown shirt and edgy black jeans.Every look was a total hit. LOVE IT!

Roosevelt Row is the perfect spot for photos. The murals, vibrant colors, and artsy atmosphere make it an ideal backdrop. And Maxie nailed every pose. Honestly, it was like he’d been modeling forever. 📸

One of my favorite moments was when we checked out the 1 1/2 Street Mural alley behind The Churchill. Maxie stood in front of it, and hopped up on a nearby set of mailboxes to hit all the angle. The contrast was just perfect. His posing was spot on, and we captured some stunning shots. It was like the mural was made for him. The energy of Roosevelt Row matched Maxie's personality so well – friendly, confident, and just cool.

The best part of the session was the laughter and fun we had. At one point, some curious passerbys decided to join our shoot. Why do people always ask “Are you taking photos?” Maxie took it all in stride, laughing and making the best of every moment. It’s those unexpected moments that make the shoot so unique. City Life! It isn’t just about the photos; it’s about the experience.

Maxie told me about his love for photography and it really shone through when he described some real estate work he was part of. He’s been taking photos for himself and his school, and you can tell he’s got an eye for it. His passion is contagious, and it made the session even more enjoyable. Seeing him so engaged and excited was truly inspiring.

We ended the day with some golden hour shots on top of the 1st street garage, and the lighting was perfect. That glow was everything. Maxie looked absolutely radiant, and the photos captured that dreamy, warm light beautifully. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing session.

Maxie, you are a star! Your senior session was one for the books. Keep being awesome and chasing your dreams. Your talent and passion for photography are going to take you far, and I can’t wait to see what you do next.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s full of life and color for your senior portraits, Roosevelt Row is the place to be. And remember, it’s all about having fun and being yourself. That’s when the magic happens!

Thanks for tagging along on this adventure with Maxie and me. Until next time, keep shining and making memories! 📸✨

Madison ASU Class of 2022 | Phoenix Senior Photographer Anjeanette Photography

best senior picture Places near me Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Portraits by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Peoria Scottsdale

Madison, a proud graduate of ASU's School of Business, wanted her senior portraits to capture the essence of her journey. We chose to take her photos at Old Main and around the Tempe Campus, and let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision! Madison showed up in a stylish white dress for her graduation shots, paired perfectly with her Arizona State gown. Later, she switched it up with two more outfits—a floral dress and a tennis skirt with a cute pink top. Each look was spot-on and showcased her trendy, yet simple style.

ASU's Tempe Campus offers so many amazing spots for photos. We started at Palm Walk, a favorite for its iconic line of palm trees. The tall, slender palms created a picturesque background that made Madison's white dress pop. She looked incredible walking down the pathway, her smile as bright as the Arizona sun. Next, we headed to the historic Old Main building, also known as the “Normal School” building. The architecture there is simply stunning, with its beautiful brickwork and classic design. Madison fit right in, striking pose after pose and looking absolutely radiant.

Old Main and the iconic Normal School steps have an incredible mix of history and charm that makes it one of the best places to take senior photos on campus. It’s especially stunning in the fall when the light catches the brick and makes the whole area feel warm and inviting. These steps are a hot spot for ASU grads, especially in spring. By April or May, it’s packed with seniors waiting their turn for photos, so planning a fall OR end of February, March, or spring break session means avoiding those long waits. Trust me, it’s worth it.

If you want those classic shots without the stress, fall is the way to go.

best senior picture Places near me Phoenix Arizona take senior pictures high school portraits unique fun Graduation portrait photographer Anjeanette Photography SDOHS Liberty High North Peoria top 10 photographer Mountain ridge Glendale Az North Phx

The Carey Business School was another fantastic spot. Its modern design and sleek lines provided a great contrast to the historic feel of Old Main. Madison’s confidence shone through in every shot. Her floral dress added a touch of elegance against the contemporary backdrop. We also found some charming spots around the school with beautiful landscaping and fountains. These locations added a fresh, vibrant feel to the photos, making each one unique.

Madison really rocked every single spot on campus. Whether it was the classic beauty of Old Main, the modern vibe of Carey Business School, or the lush greenery and fountains, she made each location her own. Her tennis skirt and pink top combo was especially fun and playful, showing off a different side of her personality. The photos captured her joy and excitement perfectly, making them a true reflection of her time at ASU.

The weather was on our side, too. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, and the light was just right. We had a few funny moments, like when a gust of wind decided to play with Madison's dress, but she handled it like a pro. Her positive attitude and easygoing nature made the whole session a breeze.

Taking photos at ASU's Tempe Campus was a blast. There are so many great spots, and Madison made each one look amazing. From the iconic Palm Walk to the historic charm of Old Main and the sleek Carey Business School, each location offered something special. Madison’s outfits were perfect for the settings, and her natural confidence and style made the photos truly shine.

For high school seniors and their parents, senior photos are more than just a milestone. They’re a way to capture this special time in your life and show who you are. Madison’s photos are a perfect example of that. They’re not just about her graduation from the School of Business; they’re a celebration of her journey, her achievements, and her bright future.

Looking back at Madison’s photos, I can’t help but smile. Each image tells a part of her story—from her time at ASU to her love for fashion and her incredible journey through the School of Business. Madison, you were amazing, and it was such a joy to capture these moments for you.

To all the seniors out there, pick places and outfits that show who you are. Whether it’s a spot with great memories or one that reflects your dreams, let your senior photos be a true reflection of you. And most importantly, have fun with it! Your senior year is a time to celebrate, and your photos should capture that joy and excitement.

And that’s a wrap! 📸✨ What an unforgettable session with Madison. From the iconic spots on ASU’s Tempe Campus to her stunning outfits, it was a day filled with fun and unforgettable moments. Here’s to celebrating the end of college and the amazing adventures that lie ahead! Cheers to making memories that last a lifetime.

Ella Mountain Ridge High Class of 2024 | Arizona Senior Portrait Sessions by Phoenix photographer Anjeanette Photography

Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography Peoria Scottsdale http://phoenixseniorphotography.com/

Ella is truly one of a kind! When I first met her, I was immediately captivated by her striking blue eyes and vibrant red hair. They create such a stunning contrast against the rich greens and earthy tones of the Desert Botanical Gardens. It was the perfect location to capture her unique beauty and dynamic personality.

Time's Passing by BLUESTEEL, Cushy, Damma Beatz

During our session, Ella’s eyes sparkled like the clear Arizona sky, well, usually thats the color of the Phoenix sky. Ella had a rare treat however! The sky was a giant softbox with overcast cool tones keeping us cool and making the colors pop twice as saturated and rich as usual. Ella who I suspect is always stands out as exceptional really popped against the garden landscapes. Her red hair, fiery and full of life, really did dance in the breeze. Every photograph seemed to capture a moment of pure magic, as if the desert blooms themselves were in awe!

The Desert Botanical Gardens provided a stunning backdrop for Ella’s senior photos. The vibrant colors and diverse plant life perfectly complemented her vivid features, creating a series of images that are both timeless and unique. Each photo tells a story, capturing the essence of who Ella is and the bright future that lies ahead.

Ella’s accomplishments go far beyond her physical appearance. She’s on the honor roll and has been for as long as she can remember. Graduating two years early is no small feat, and Ella has done it with grace and resilience. Her hard work and dedication are truly inspiring, and it’s clear that she’s destined for great things.

In addition to her academic prowess, Ella is heading to ASU to continue her education. She’s excited to dive into new challenges and opportunities, eager to soak up knowledge and experiences. Her passion for learning and her unyielding spirit will undoubtedly lead her to success in her future endeavors.

Ella’s journey has been marked by hard work, perseverance, and a passion for excellence. Her early graduation is a testament to her commitment to her education and her desire to make the most of every opportunity. As she prepares to start her next chapter at ASU, I have no doubt that she will continue to shine and inspire those around her.

To all the Mountain Lion high school seniors and parents reading this, Ella’s story is a reminder that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Her journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will accomplish in the years to come.

Congratulations, Ella! Your bright eyes and fiery spirit are just the beginning of your incredible journey. Here’s to a future filled with endless possibilities and remarkable achievements! 🌟

Piper Anthem Prep Class of 2024 | Arizona Senior Portrait Sessions: | Phoenix Senior Picture sessions by Arizona photographer Anjeanette.Photography

Let's talk about Piper's senior pictures! Piper’s Phoenix senior pictures Action package took us to Gold Canyon’s Boyce Thompson Arbetorum, one of the most beautiful areas in the southern eastern side of Tonto National Forest.

This sweet class of 2024 senior is a student at Anthem Prep active in her church community, volunteering, writing, & crafting. You could just feel her bubbly, upbeat personality shining through in every single shot. Brighter than the sun, before and after it dipped behind clouds to make the sky a giant dramatic softbox!

Can we talk about her outfits for a sec? Piper had not one, not two, but FIVE outfits for her session - perfectly centered around her signature sunny yellow color! I was excited when she showed me her outfit ideas a few weeks before the session when we chatted with mom...you can never have too many outfit changes during a senior portrait session. Ok well you COULD, especially if you change fromon e to the next slowly ha! But 3-5 outfits seemsto be the perfect amount to keep the session fresh and full of variety whileshowingoff aspects of your fashion personalities. Seriously, not having enough outfits is such a bigger problem than having too many. Think about it - if you only have one or two looks, we're really limited for your portraits. But if you bring a whole wardrobe of cute attire? We can switch up the vibe and take advantage of all the amazing scenery around us.

With Piper's five fits, we were able to capture her bright, cheerful essence at multiple scenic spots around the arboretum grounds. Those brilliant yellow hues popped so beautifully against the lush greenery and desert flora. I'm obsessed! Now you know how I feel about wardrobe changes during sessions. The more, the merrier! An abundance of outfits equals an abundance of amazing portraits. It's honestly a struggle for me to photograph an entire senior session with just one or two looks. I always see a little more of a persons vibe with each outfit.

Seniors, if Piper's vibrant pictures have you eager for your own portrait session, get on my calendar ASAP! I'm already booking fast for the Class of 2025. This year, I actually had to turn seniors away because my schedule was completely full by mid-February. The popular dates go so quickly!

Avoid FOMO get your session booked early. Trust me, you don't want to be left out when everyone else is posting their killer senior pics all over Instagram next year. Secure your spot, then we can strategize outfit choices galore!

In the end, Piper's sunny senior portraits turned out absolutely beautifully. Her bright yellow outfits were the perfect embodiment of her joyful, optimistic spirit. I'm so grateful she took my advice about wardrobe changes to heart - it resulted in a vibrant, multi-faceted gallery her family will treasure forever.

Kaitlyn Mountain Ridge Class of 2024 | Phoenix & Peoria Graduation Pictures & High School Photographer ANJEANETTE PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey senior squad! SO goofy sounding hahah. ANYWAYS…Picture this: senior year is winding down, the future beckons, and you're ready to capture all the feels in epic photos. Well, that's exactly what Kaitlyn, a soon-to-be college music major and Mountain Ridge High School grad, did with her Adventure package senior session! We traded the familiar hallways for the majestic Glanis Sand Dunes in Brawley, California, and the results were pure magic.

In Arcadia - Instrumental by Field of Giants artlist.io/royalty-free-music/song/in-arcadia/77642

For the past four years, Kaitlyn's been a rockstar (well, technically a bass clarinetist!) in the Mountain Ridge Wind Ensemble and Marching Band. Remember the band that keeps on winning State competition? Yep, Kaitlyn was right there in the heart of it all, leading her section with passion and precision. I’m blessed to have been there to document a lot of it and watch her grow! That's right, yours truly! Seeing her dedication and musicality translate from the field to her future at GCC and NAU is truly inspiring.

Kaitlyn came prepared for her session with a wardrobe mix of casual and dressy, each outfit reflecting a different facet of her personality. Comfy jeans for that laid-back vibe, a flowy dresses that danced in the desert breeze, and even a stunning gown that transformed the dunes into a high-fashion runway. It wasn't just about looking good (though let's be honest, she rocked every single look!), it was about showcasing the many sides of Kaitlyn – the musician, the adventurer, the future music major ready to conquer the world.

Kaitlyn's fashion was epic. Having 3-5 well-chosen outfits that reflect your personality is key. Just one or two outfit changes can feel limiting during a session. Finding the sweet spot is important.‘

Senior portraits are more than just photos; they're a time capsule of this unforgettable chapter in your life. This year, my calendar filled up by mid-February, so many seniors missed their chance to shine. Don't let that happen to you! Book your session early to secure your spot and capture the magic of senior year.

Let Anjeanette Photography Capture Your Senior Story!

We can't wait to collaborate with you and create a session that's as unique and unforgettable as you are. Contact Anjeanette Photography today to schedule your consultation and start planning your dream senior portrait session! Let's make your senior year the perfect melody!

Amelia Sandra Day O'Connor High Class of 2024 | Phoenix & Peoria Graduation Pictures & High School Photographer ANJEANETTE PHOTOGRAPHY

As the sun dipped low over the dusty plains of Sahuro Ranch, casting long shadows across the saguaro cacti, Amelia's emerald eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and anticipation. Amelia's senior portrait session at Sahuro Ranch was an exquisite portrayal of her unique journey through high school. As a dedicated member of the EaglePride Winter Guard and a fervent enthusiast of thriller novels, Amelia's session was filled with personal touches that reflected her passions and interests. She moves with the grace of a dancer and the precision of a warrior. Her love for the dramatic extends beyond the stage, as she devours thriller novels with the same intensity she brings to her performances. It was this unique blend of strength, artistry, and intellectual curiosity that I wanted to capture in her senior photos.

This videos music: PASTIS Back to the Wild https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/D3nwcWehjr/

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sahuro Ranch, adorned with gem tones and graced by majestic peacocks, Amelia's portraits captured her essence with remarkable clarity. Her striking green eyes added a captivating allure to each photograph, emphasizing her individuality and depth of character. The setting of Sahuro Ranch couldn't have been more perfect. The sprawling desert landscape, with its vibrant gem tones of ochre, rust, and terracotta, provided a stunning backdrop for Amelia's portraits. The majestic peacocks, strutting their iridescent tails, added a touch of whimsy and theatricality, perfectly reflecting Amelia's personality.

These senior pictures are not just mere snapshots; they are visual narratives of Amelia's high school experience and the memories she holds dear. Each image tells a story of dedication, passion, and the journey of self-discovery that defines the senior year. Whether it's showcasing a beloved hobby, a favorite location, or simply capturing one's unique personality, senior pictures are an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of years of hard work and growth. Amelia's senior portraits are more than just beautiful photographs; they are a testament to her individuality, her spirit, and the exciting chapter that awaits her after graduation. As she embarks on her next adventure, I have no doubt that she will continue to soar, leaving her mark on the world with the same grace, determination, and love for the dramatic that she brought to her senior year at OC High.

Congratulations to Amelia and the entire graduating class of OC High! May your senior portraits reflect the essence of who you are and serve as timeless reminders of this momentous chapter in your lives.

Thomas Sandra Day O’Connor High Class of 2024 | PHOENIX & PEORIA GRADUATION PICTURES & HIGH SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER ANJEANETTE PHOTOGRAPHY

Peoria AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

It was a dark and stormy Sunday…well not exactly but it WAS overcast, winter rain was threatening, and it was cloudy as all get out. Do people still say that? Thing is - I hate cloudy days! Clouds are a favorite of many photographers with their ‘giant softbox’ ‘saturated colors’ and blah blah blah, but not for me. I didn’t move to Arizona to see no clouds! As a professional you gotta be ready for anything, and able to make any condition work. So I prefer the golden hour backlit glow. USUALLY that is. This session was so dramatic and epic I almost change my mind about cloudy days!

Thomas’ easy, relaxed smile and fun loving personality make any day light up- aw! He is a cute kid! A member of the Class of 2024, he holds the distinguished role of Drum Major in the Eagle Pride Marching Band with a dedication to music and leadership shines through in every frame of his senior pictures. As an Arizona native, Thomas is no stranger to the desert heat, but with graduation on the horizon, he's eagerly anticipating the cooler temperatures and new adventures awaiting him at NAU.

The stunning backdrop of Sonoran Mountain Preserve served as a unique canvas for capturing Thomas' personality and accomplishments. Senior photos are not just about capturing a moment in time; they are about celebrating achievements and preserving memories that will be cherished for years to come. Thomas' graduation portraits beautifully encapsulate the essence of his high school journey – from the camaraderie of marching band rehearsals to the excitement of looking towards the future.

As Thomas transitions into the next chapter of his academic and personal journey, these senior pictures will serve as a timeless reminder of his growth, resilience, and the unwavering support of his family and community. Through the lens of a camera, we've captured not just images, but the spirit of a young man ready to spread his eagle wings. Sounds cheesy- but it’s true!

2023 AzMBA Division I Championships | Phoenix Marching Band Photographer Anjeanette Photography

I was so honored to be a part of the AzMBA team for group photography at the Division I Championships! Thank you for having me, and thank you to Mountain Pointe High for hosting the competition. Congratulations to all the bands on an amazing season! Go band!

Phoenix Marching Band Pictures Winterguard BANNERS Anjeanette Photography WGI WGAZ High School AZ

The Arizona Marching Band Association Division I Championships crackled with electric energy, the culmination of months of tireless practice and unwavering dedication. And at the heart of it all, amidst the booming brass, thundering drums, and dazzling visuals, I had the incredible privilege of capturing each AzMBA marching bands group portraits.

From the moment I stepped onto the Mountain Pointe High campus I was swept up in the whirlwind of band spirit. The air hummed with a symphony of anticipation, uniforms crisply pressed, instruments gleaming under the sun. Faces, etched with nervous excitement, transformed into fierce determination as the first notes soared skyward. As the AzMBA team marched onto the field, a collective roar from the stands ignited the atmosphere, setting the stage for a performance etched in memory.

To all of the bands marching and performing at the AzMBA championships this year with such heart and fire, let these photographs be a lasting ode to your season. A testament to the countless hours, the tireless dedication, the unwavering spirit that defines the marching band experience.

And to the parents, the families, the supporters who cheer from the sidelines, let these portraits capture the essence of your child's passion. See the joy in their eyes, the pride in their stance, the sheer dedication radiating from every note they play. These are the moments that make it all worth it, the culmination of years of practice, the reward for every early morning and late-night rehearsal.

This was more than just a day of photography. It was a celebration of music, of teamwork, of the human spirit soaring on the wings of melody. And I am deeply honored to have been a part of it.

Congratulations, AzMBA, and to all the bands who competed. Your music resonated deeply, and your passion is an inspiration. As the final strains of the championship fade, these photographs remain a testament to your season, a legacy for generations to come. Let the music play on!

Ben Class of 2024 | Peoria & Phoenix Arizona Senior Portraits by Anjeanette Photography

Class of 2024, Meet Your New Senior Pic Muse: Ben's Classic Car Meets Streetwear Symphony

Forget awkward yearbook photos and cheesy backdrops. Phoenix seniors, it's time to level up your graduation portrait game. Enter Ben, Class of 2024, and a swaggering testament to the power of vision, personality, and a killer vintage Corvette Stingray. Let's be real, senior pics can sometimes feel like a forced march through tired tropes. A lot of guys just don’t get into them because they completely disinterested in stale and cheesy looks - but it doesn’t have to be that way! I was SO EXCITED for this session, Ben knew exactly what he wanted from a hip studio, to pose ideas, and urban backdrops. He took the reins and drove this session straight into a whole new lane. Think streetwear swagger meets classic car cool, with a dash of timeless style and a whole lot of personality.

This videos music: NBHD NICK Double Up

Ben's wardrobe was a carefully curated symphony of streetwear staples and authentic vintage sustainable thrifts. Think Iconic Detroit Carharrt Jacket, graphic tees, and kicks from boots to sneakers that would make any magazine. It def gave me Lewys feelings! (Ball is a Scottish fashion and lifestyle influencer)

And then there was the Corvette– a cherry & chrome masterpiece that ALMOST stole the show (don't worry, Ben, you held your own!).

This wasn't just a photo shoot; it was an experience to celebrate senior year before Ben conquers the world (one killer outfit at a time).

These are not your average senior portraits; they're a visual manifesto of Ben's unique style and personality. They're the kind of pics that'll make your yearbook jealous and have your Insta followers begging for the secret to pulling off such effortless cool.

Class of 2024, what are you waiting for? Ditch the tired cliches and embrace your own senior pic symphony. Don't be afraid to break the mold, showcase your passions, and let your personality shine. And if you need a little guidance on transforming your vision into reality, well, that's where I come in. Don’t worry if you haven’t got an elaborate plan for your session however, that’s where I come in! Trust me to know the spots and poses- and I even have wardrobe suggestions to help! I make it easy and fun, you don’t even have to fake smile the whole time- nobody wants that!

Ready to ditch the boring and create senior portraits that truly tell your story? Email me today, and let's chat about crafting a session that'll leave you speechless (and your insta begging for mercy).

Madison ASU Class of 2023 | Peoria AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Phoenix Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

As an Arizona Valley based photographer AND Sun Devil mom myself, I’ve photographed countless Arizona State University seniors on the cusp of graduation. Each one has a unique story to tell, and Madison, an accomplished scholar with a passion for literature, is no exception. Madison’s senior portrait session was a true delight.

We took the adventure to Scottsdale, Arizona, where we explored the enchanting Butterfly Wonderland where the vibrant colors and fluttering wings created a magical backdrop to the cozy corners of The Poisoned Pen Bookstore. Madison's senior pictures session was a unique blend of nature's beauty and the magic found within the pages of a good book.

Next, we ventured to The Poisoned Pen Bookstore, a haven for bookworms like Madison. Surrounded by towering bookshelves and the comforting aroma of old books, she posed and browsed for favorites novels and childhood picture books to include in portraits. The bookstore was a vibe of a  metaphor for the vast knowledge Madison has acquired during her time at ASU, a place where each book represents a chapter of her academic journey.

“In Solis Umbra Floreo” – “In the Shade of the Sun, I Bloom.”

Madison, as you step into the next chapter of your life, I have no doubt that you will continue to bloom and flourish. May your passion for learning and your love for literature guide you as you make your mark on the world. Congratulations on your graduation, and may your future be filled with countless moments of success and fulfillment. 🦋📚

Trevor ASU Class of 2022 | ASU Grad photographer Anjeanette Photography

College graduation is a pivotal milestone in one's life, signifying years of hard work, personal growth, and academic achievement. Grad portraits capture the essence of the ASU journey, preserving memories, and inspiring future success. These portraits not only capture individual milestones but also reflect the unique spirit and culture of ASU including landmarks and locations around campus that have become important to the students during their time at Arizona State.

Trevor graduated from ASU School of Engineering in December, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is currently a Production Assistant with Underdog Lighting and Grip while he pursues Engineering opportunities. We met up for Grad photos around campus at the iconic Tempe campus hitting all the Sun Devil favorites.

College graduation portraits freeze a moment in time, encapsulating the culmination of years of academic pursuits. These portraits capture the emotions, pride, and excitement of the graduate and their loved ones. As time passes, memories tend to fade, but the visual representation of the graduation day, meticulously captured in a portrait, becomes a timeless reminder of the achievements, challenges, and joy experienced during the college years.

Whether the portraits feature graduates wearing their academic regalia or posing against iconic campus landmarks, they reflect the distinctive Sun Devil spirit. ASU college graduation portraits are more than just photos; they represent the pride, resilience, and sense of community that ASU students embody throughout their educational journey. They reflect the dedication, perseverance, and sacrifices made by the graduate to attain their degree. College graduation portraits reflect an individual's personal identity and their connection to their alma mater. These portraits often feature the graduate wearing their academic regalia, representing their affiliation with their college or university. They serve as a reminder of the educational institution's values, traditions, and shared experiences with fellow students. In today's competitive job market, college graduation portraits can play a crucial role in professional endeavors. These portraits present a professional image, showcasing the graduate's commitment to education, discipline, and personal growth. They can be utilized on professional platforms such as resumes, LinkedIn profiles, or corporate bios, enabling potential employers and colleagues to recognize the individual's academic accomplishments and dedication to their field of study.

ASU has a robust alumni network, and graduation portraits play a vital role in strengthening those connections. Sharing these portraits within the ASU alumni community fosters a sense of camaraderie and creates opportunities for networking and mentorship. ASU graduates can connect with fellow Sun Devils, share experiences, and support one another in their personal and professional endeavors. College graduation portraits connect individuals to their alumni community, creating a sense of belonging and shared experiences. Many educational institutions have alumni networks where graduates can connect, share experiences, and support one another. By sharing graduation portraits within these communities, individuals can foster relationships, network, and seek opportunities, ultimately enhancing personal and professional growth.

Phoenix AZ Senior Graduation Pictures by Arizona Photographer Anjeanette Photography

The best times to take senior pictures in Arizona | Phoenix Az Graduation Pictures High School Senior Portraits Anjeanette Photography

Senior year is a momentous time in every student's life, and one of the most cherished traditions is capturing this milestone through senior portraits. In Arizona, with our diverse landscapes and unique natural beauty, I make selecting the best time to take senior portraits easy as I have already considered weather, lighting, and different areas that express the character of our state - so that I get you the best results in stunning photographs that truly capture the essence of the senior and this desert wonderland.

Phoenix Az Graduation Pictures High School Senior Portraits Anjeanette Photography

Arizona is known for its arid climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters- and its a senior photographers paradise with all the variety and availability to have sessions year round. To avoid the scorching heat of the summer months, it is advisable to plan the session during the fall, winter, or spring seasons, or to have a summer session in studio or a unique indoor location. Autumn offers comfortable temperatures, golden foliage, and vibrant colors, providing a picturesque backdrop for portraits. Winter brings cooler temperatures, which can be a refreshing change, and the possibility of capturing unique shots against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains in northern Arizona. Spring brings the bloom of desert wildflowers, offering a vibrant and colorful setting for senior portraits.

Phoenix Az Graduation Pictures High School Senior Portraits Anjeanette Photography

A crucial element to consider is lighting and time of day. Arizona is known for its abundant sunshine, which can create harsh shadows and intense highlights during midday, which is why I avoid middle-of-the-day sessions unless they are indoors.

To achieve softer and more flattering lighting, I highly recommend scheduling the session during the "Golden Hour." The Golden Hour refers to the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset when the light is softer, warmer, and more diffused. During this time, the Phoenix desert landscape is bathed in a beautiful golden glow, creating a magical atmosphere for senior portraits. This enchanting light adds depth, warmth, and a touch of romance to the photographs, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Golden Hour

Warm golden light, high contrast, stunning glow….The best light of the day for outdoor shoots! I start golden hour senior sessions two hours before sunset to maximize the wow! Awesome for highlighting the best skin, colors, and dimension in photos.

 Sunset photos

Just as or after Golden Hour when the sun dips behind the mountains surrounding the Phoenix Valley is prime time for striking sunsets. Never can guarantee- but when there is on Arizona has the best!

Blue Hour after Sunset- NIGHT SHOTS

Dramatic, bold, colorful- lights! Night shots as unique as you are a great opportunity to shine. This is at the end & included in most action sessions- if we plan it right we can have Golden Hour, Sunset, and Blue Hour night photos in one session!

Sunrise/Morning Sessions

Beat the heat! Cooler temps and cooler colour tones- this is the best light in my opinion for Light & Airy style photos. Sunrise sessions start 15 minutes before sunrise so no sleeping in hahah

Studio or Indoor Sessions- Anytime!

A studio or interior space can capture YOU and your vision without distraction or crowds. From an epic shoot at a museum or theatre (click to check out unique spots)

to a classic fashion studio (studio portfolio here) we can get all the looks- while enjoying air conditioning!

It is important to consider the personal preferences and style of the senior being photographed so I like to collaborate with the senior and their family to understand their preferences, interests, and aspirations can help in choosing the best time and Phoenix or other location for their senior portraits.

Some individuals may have a preference for a specific season, while others may have a particular vision or theme in mind.  This collaboration ensures that the photographs reflect their unique personality and create a lasting memory of this significant milestone. I would love to bring your vision to life and be a part of your senior year with senior photos that express you!
