It was warm as heck but my goodness the light loves this girl! Le was amazing glowing in 111 degrees, and effervescent in the glow of the June Arizona sunset! Le just graduated from Mesa High School with honors, and now is headed for adventures in Northern California where she is headed to college. So thankful we were able to meet up and capture some amazing senior pictures for an amazing young woman.

I strongly suggest professional makeup before every photo session. Idon’’t include it in the price because it is not everyone’s vibe- some don’t wear makeup and seriously some of you are the pros at your own makeup!!!

I still really recommend it for practical reasons and I feel like it’s worth spoiling yourself. From the glam girls rocking a full cat-eye and red lips, to the natural girls who just wear gloss, professional makeup will make you look like you.

Sometimes regular makeup ends up looking dull and flat on camera. Using a pro makes your makeup look camera-ready. Pro makeup evens out skin tone and hides any skin imperfections. Sure, I include basic professional retouch editing for everyone, but there is something about a professional artist’s makeup magic that boosts confidence and makes extra expensive retouching unnecessary.

Jonathan Liberty High School Class of 21 | Phoenix Senior Pictures by Anjeanette Photography

Triple threat rocker Jonathan is a drummer, bassist, and guitarist (and prolly 5-6 other ‘ists’ I don’t even know about) This dude is TALENTED and HARDWORKING! The night of his senior session we ended up pushing the time up a little bit as he had a gig on stage in Tempe Az performing live at the Marketplace Friday night stage with one of his many bands- Corridor Sixteen!

After his session, I obviously had to go check out the performance- great music, great energy, great vibe. The duo of Jonathan and lead vocalist and guitarist Jude David was incredible. From covers to originals they had a passion that just got your heart pumping. Exciting to see live and excited for later on when I get to brag- hey! I took this guys photo when he was just graduating from high school!

It’s Wonder Twins super duo Julia & Jayce! These SDOHS Eagles are active members of the Eagle Pride Band and Colourguard just really cool kids- loved getting to know them over the last four years. 🧡

The twins wanted a lush garden backdrop for their Phoenix Senior Session and The Scott Resort definitely delivers! They did such a great job posing and laughing, lovely Julia glowed for her photos and watched over Jayce encouraging him to bring the smoulder!!

I was so excited when Stacy and Jim reached out- I knew them way back when we were all in high school together at PHHS in Port Huron Mi! Very cool that three glove kids found their way to the desert 🌵

Conner looks EXACTLY like his dad did and plays the same position in Football. I know I know 🧬 genetics but it was pretty cool to see! All that was missing was Jim Gross sweet late 80’s mullet!

Perri’s mom found the most amazing venue...I will be recommending @serenitygardensscottsdale to every senior looking for a beautiful green location with water. I get asked for a place that “doesn’t look like Arizona” by at least one client a week 😆

I mean-I LOVE the Az desert vibe! It is 💯 why I am here. But who doesn’t want to visit an exotic magical wonderland? Perri’s dad said to her mom-“Anjeanette is in photographer heaven” about 15 mins into our visit- and it is so true! I felt like we had wandered off the desert mountains into a lush jungle protecting the ruins of a mythical palace. Yeah I know pretty flowery talk, but I REALLY did!

Perri has an amazing life, her musical talent and very hard work take her all across the country for performances, so it is no surprise that this was not her first senior portrait session - she wanted one in AZ and one session with amazing human and photographer 💗🦉 @pinkowlphotography in Raliegh North Carolina! Ana Class of 21 | Phoenix Senior Pictures by Anjeanette Photography

I met this cool chick about four years ago right when I moved to Arizona my daughter joined her school and the Eagle Pride Band- Ana is vivacious and energetic- and always hilarious! A powerhouse of the brass section, Ana has marched in Drum Corps International with Phenom, The Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, and her soon-to-be high school alma mater Sandra Day O’Connor- one of the TOP marching bands in the state! Ana really rocked her session with awesome smiles and a too cool vibe- first stop thrifted fashion and The Grand coffee house on Central Ave!

Ana’s second location was the gorgeous Japanese Friendship Garden, a jewel in downtown Phoenix!

We ducked in and out of clouds and enjoyed being surround with the serenity of water and trees.

Ana is gorgeous along side the new cherry blossoms and pagodas- don’t worry - she knows :)
