Today's spotlight shines on Matthew, a dude with wanderlust in his soul and a future at NAU etched on his horizon. Forget about stuffy studios and forced smiles; Matthew craved a backdrop as wild and free as his spirit, and what better fit than the Sonoran Mountain Desert's rugged beauty?

Golden sunlight was bleeding over saguaro silhouettes, casting long shadows across the dusty trails. Add in a cool breeze whispering through prickly pear patches and the distant call of a coyote – nature's symphony in full swing. No really, we heard them that’s not just poetic bs! It was the perfect spot for Matthew to paint his senior portraits with the desert's vibrant brushstrokes.

Matthew soaked it all in. You could practically see the gears of his mind turning, maybe dreaming of future hikes, mountain expeditions, and maybe even a touch of stargazing under NAU's open skies. He spoke of his passion for environmental science, his plans to explore the world's hidden corners, and the excitement of leaving his mark on the planet. And in those moments, the desert wasn't just a backdrop; it became a symbol of the challenges and possibilities that awaited him.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the cacti in fiery hues, we captured the essence of Matthew's journey. These weren't just senior portraits; they were a visual narrative of his transformation from high schooler to adventurer, to a young man ready to embrace the wild unknown.

Anjeanette photographs fleeting life adventures: Senior portraits, professional head shots, families and children. Clients have included brides & grooms, families, musicians & artists, & a hip artisan soap company. She gives back to her community back as a volunteer children & family photographer for schools, band, non-profit organizations, and church. When she’s not awkwardly writing about herself in the third person, she is praying, painting, reading, and exploring the world with her husband and children and her trusty National Parks Passport.
