You already have a lot of experience taking ALL THE PHOTOS together already right? Why not bring that comfortable, fun, giggly vibe to your senior portraits! These two will be continuing their adventures together in college when they attend GCU together, however for most folks Senior year is the brink of your whole world changing. Some of your best friends in high school will stick with you forever, and like Ayla and Kaitlyn, those are memories worth preserving in portraits.

We had a breezy beautiful Phoenix afternoon exploring downtown to celebrate Jadyn’s upcoming graduation- and respectfully include the art, artists, memorials, and impact of civil rights felt around the world and represented on Roosevelt Row.
Jadyn was killing it @parkwoodphotographystudios last week for the second location of her Phoenix Senior Pictures session! Since we were shooting part if her session on Roos Row it made@perfect sense to rent space at the gorgeous Parkwood Studios instead of driving up 45 mins to my space- and Parkwood had everything we needed from plenty or room, props, changing space and great mirror lighting, to cool clean cyclorama walls and a beautiful courtyard. I believe you can rent lighting from them as well, but I brought my own⤵️
I LOVE natural light- but I LOVE setting up my @godoxlighting flashes just as much!

It’s Wonder Twins super duo Julia & Jayce! These SDOHS Eagles are active members of the Eagle Pride Band and Colourguard just really cool kids- loved getting to know them over the last four years. 🧡
The twins wanted a lush garden backdrop for their Phoenix Senior Session and The Scott Resort definitely delivers! They did such a great job posing and laughing, lovely Julia glowed for her photos and watched over Jayce encouraging him to bring the smoulder!!

Perri’s mom found the most amazing venue...I will be recommending @serenitygardensscottsdale to every senior looking for a beautiful green location with water. I get asked for a place that “doesn’t look like Arizona” by at least one client a week 😆
I mean-I LOVE the Az desert vibe! It is 💯 why I am here. But who doesn’t want to visit an exotic magical wonderland? Perri’s dad said to her mom-“Anjeanette is in photographer heaven” about 15 mins into our visit- and it is so true! I felt like we had wandered off the desert mountains into a lush jungle protecting the ruins of a mythical palace. Yeah I know pretty flowery talk, but I REALLY did!

Perri has an amazing life, her musical talent and very hard work take her all across the country for performances, so it is no surprise that this was not her first senior portrait session - she wanted one in AZ and one session with amazing human and photographer 💗🦉 @pinkowlphotography in Raliegh North Carolina! Now thats is how to celebrate graduation!!!
For her session here she wanted a green area with water features and some desert photos (sneak peeks coming soon!) and nothing fits the bill for green goodness like Serenity Gardens 🌺

I met this cool chick about four years ago right when I moved to Arizona my daughter joined her school and the Eagle Pride Band- Ana is vivacious and energetic- and always hilarious! A powerhouse of the brass section, Ana has marched in Drum Corps International with Phenom, The Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, and her soon-to-be high school alma mater Sandra Day O’Connor- one of the TOP marching bands in the state! Ana really rocked her session with awesome smiles and a too cool vibe- first stop thrifted fashion and The Grand coffee house on Central Ave!
Ana’s second location was the gorgeous Japanese Friendship Garden, a jewel in downtown Phoenix!
We ducked in and out of clouds and enjoyed being surround with the serenity of water and trees.
Ana is gorgeous along side the new cherry blossoms and pagodas- don’t worry - she knows :)

We hit the VW van front at Two Hippies Beach House and a few murals in the Scottsdale area, before heading to model more downtown and Roosevelt Row and the always stunning Desert Botanical Gardens! Senior Isabella has been voted “most likely to always have the most awesome Instagram page” by me- her cosplay and theatre photo feed is beyond amazing! So needless to say I was VERY excited to meet up with B for her official senior portrait session around downtown Phoenix! We started at her home theatre, while her theatre friends rehearsed in the background, capturing Bella in her natural element. Then off to the convention center area which holds many good memories for this Shadow Mountain drama buff from theatre classes and retreats to intense cons where she created and posed in an impressive amount of intricate and gorgeous cosplay costumes with friends. I love that she brought her Schitts Creek & Once Upon A Time ‘bound’ low key David and Emma Swan looks along with the best props- autographed playbills from her New York musical and play trip!

Lianna was wanting flowers- but with so little rain this ‘winter’ in Arizona we just didn’t get the bloom of previous springs. So when we heard that Annie’s Flower Truck was near the senior picture location we were going to in Old Town Scottsdale, we had to stop by! Happy Senior Sunday Lianna! Beautiful young woman- it was awesome working with you!
